Through the Wardrobe provides a glimpse into the lives of four genderqueer and nonbinary Bristolians through documentary audio and 3D animations in an augmented reality headset. The experience takes place within the context of an interactive and intimate bedroom set.
The piece was exhibited at film festivals 2019, including Sheffield Doc/Fest (nominated for the Best Digital Storytelling Award), Global Health Film Festival 2019 and International Documentary Festival Amsterdam (nominated for the Best Digital Experience Award). It was then invited for exhibition at galleries, including HOME Manchester, the Barbican Centre in London and Goethe-Institut China in Beijing.
