My photos and short films have appeared across international media, including the New York Times, the Guardian, Al Jazeera and the BBC. I shot my first documentary in Kazakhstan in 2005 before studying ethnographic documentary film-making at the Granada Centre for Visual Anthropology (University of Manchester). I have made dozens of short films and am finishing my first feature-length documentary, 69.
